This game absolutely blew my expectations away. Part shooter and part MMO-RPG this game is fun and super addicting, a very dangerous combination. For 2 days straight I couldn’t put it down. When my 4 man party beat the game nobody even signed off, we just said ok you guys ready for round 2? Yup. Similar to games like Diablo, Borderlands gets even harder after each time you beat the game and you get to keep your characters for the next playthrough. This game is s definite MUST BUY.
Roland – Soldier Class

Description: Soldier and former mercenary, Roland is able to launch the Scorpio turret, a weapon that attacks automatically while shielding you from enemires. The turret can be upgraded to provide ammo and healing for you whole team.
Strengths: Shotgun and Assault Rifle
Overall the soldier is my favorite class. In any party the soldier is the most important character because he can heal the team and provide unlimited ammo. This class is a great support class but is also strong on its own. The Scorpio turret acts like having an extra player on the field when its out.
Brick – Berserker Class

Description: Brick is a berserker who annihilates adversaries with his fists while in an almost indestructible rage. When no pulverizing enemies by hand, brick fights using explosive weapons.
Strengths: Rocket Launcher
Berserkers are truly massive tanks. They charge into battle with fists swinging. They usually have the most health and strongest defense and they can use rockets to take out enemies from afar.
Lilith – Siren Class

Description: Lilith is a Siren with the ability of Phasewalking. She can become invisible and run with extreme speed. Sirens specialize in doing elemental damage.
Strengths: SMG
Overall the Siren is the least impressive character. Their super fast speed makes them able to use the SMG’s very well and their skill tree specializes in adding elemental damage. However the Phasewalking ability leaves more to be desired.
Mordecai – Hunter Class

Description: Mordecai is a hunter who uses his hawk, Bloodwing, to assist in battle. Mordecai is a sniper rifle master, but can get up close in battle with his revolver.
Strengths: Pistols and Sniper Rifle
Hunter is a very interesting class. His skill tree is split between sniper and gunslinger. You can choose to do massive critical hits with your sniper rifle from afar, or you learn to fight with the revolver. Revolvers are especially neat because they do nearly as much damage as the shotgun, but often times come equipped with a scope. Also the Bloodwing Hawk is very powerful and usually deals massive amounts of damage.

I have to disagree with the idea that Phasewalking is useless. When things get really hairy, it’s a good escape plan, and later on it can regen your health and shield pretty fast. An amazing ability is the Assassin’s final skill – doing +800% melee damage coming out of Phasewalk is a good F-YOU to the Bruisers.

I also disagree with the review on Lilith. I believe, if built right, she can be the strongest class. if the skill tree is distributed right her phasewalk cooldown is pretty much done by the time you come out of it, so it can be near spammed. While in phasewalk you dont take dmg, and if you can phasewalk almost all the time you’re invincible AND invisible appearing and disappearing in a ball of flame dmging enemies with powerful AoE. + some bosses and monsters neer to be shot in the back to be killed, she is probably the only char that can run around a monster (invisible) and shoot it in the back without having in turn with you as u run around it…
