Watch the main character perform a summon in battle in theis clip from the new Final Fantasy XIII for the Xbox 360. It seems like the guy playing the video spends about 1:20 watching animations and about 0:05 actually doings anything. The graphics look great but hopefully there is more to do than just watching cutscenes.

For those of you who love the puzzle rpg genre, this game looks promising.

Square Enix is teaming up with the “broadly appealing” e-crack peddling masters at PopCap Games on Gyromancer, a new puzzle RPG for XBLA and PC. At its core, Gyromancer is a re-skinned version of PopCap’s Bejeweled Twist with Square Enix delivering the … um, big hair? Maybe some writing — or 20-minute cutscenes? We have no idea.

I got the demo for Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood earlier this week. Normally I’m not a big fan of western shoot-em-up kind of games, but I have to admit. The gameplay was tight, and the action was good. There were alot of unique features that made this game fun. My favorite thing about it so far is the dual wielding pistol action. Most games only give you one trigger to satify your need to blow things up. In Call of Juarez BOTH triggers on your controller shoot guns, which basically means twice as much fun.

Another cool feature is the cover system. The game character will actually stick his guns out around corners before you pop your head out which gives it a very realistic feeling in a gunfight. If you get a chance to, make sure you at least try out the demo for this game. I recommend playing it at least once.
